Вариативность в типах названий трагедии (беспредикатные загла- вия-антропонимы по хору или персонажу, подзаголовок-предикат, название-объект) – первый шаг от механического именования к поэти- ке заглавий. Формируется она при столкновении двух дискурсивных практик: с одной стороны, театрально-постановочной, в которой цель названия – информативная, но и интригующая зрителя, с другой – письменной литературной, в которой требования информативности дополняются требованиями точности указания на происхождение текста. Выражение κρατεῖν (κατέχειν,  πολύειν) τὴν ψῆφον x (где x – число), встречающееся в ряде греческих текстов при описании магических процедур, следует относить не к камешкам либо каким- либо другим предметам, на которые нанесены числа, но к жестам счета на пальцах. Это толкование (высказанное Р. Меркельбахом применительно к PGM IV, 938, но не встретившее сочувствия) может быть подтверждено обращением к терминологии греческого computus digitorum и распространено на ряд других пассажей.
