Summary\n
The inscriptions from Tyra, Olbia, Chersonesos and Bosporos let us find out about secretaries’ activities in government institutions, in king’s secretariat and in various religious unions. Secretarial work is presented in the copies of important documents, carved on stone stelas. Most of those texts were composed in accordance with certain templates, but some of them represent examples of high-quality documentary prose. Those are Olbian honour decrees to Protogenes and Nicerates and Chersonesos honour decree to Diophantos (IOSPE I2. 32, 34, 352).
