The paper represents the analysis of latin conjunctivus in self-dependent use and in subordinate clauses. According to semantic and communicative context the categorical meaning and the scale of particular meanings are revealed. A field-model of Latin conjunctivus is structured. The difference between grammatical and lexical polysemy is determined.
