Summary\n
The article deals with the way Lucretius treats the term φιλοσοφία and other related notions, as well as with the formation of Latin philosophical vocabulary. The study is based on a careful selection of Latin terminological vocabulary with its equivalents in the Greek sources. The analysis of De rerum natura allows to admit that the existence of certain terms in the poem could depend on Lucretius’ philosophical views. The poet applied the methodology of translation in patrias voces.
