Summary\n
The article deals with the problem of attribution of the examples from Italic languages cited by Roman grammarians. The first part of the investigation was connected with the attribution for the examples of the f/h variation. Sometimes the examples are attributed by Roman grammarians to«Sabini» or «Sabinorum lingua», sometimes to «antiqui» and once to«Falisci». Attribution to the «Falisci» is given by Quintus Terentius Scaurusin his work «De orthographia». So, the second part of the investigation wasconnected with Roman grammarians to find the source of the Scaurus’work. The problem is Scaurus’s attribution to «Falisci» while his greatauthority provided, Varro telling nothing and attributing them to «Sabini». When and why the theme of the «Falisci» appeared for the first time? It could be Verrius Flaccus who introduced the theme of the «Falisci» ingrammar due to special interest in them in the time of Augustus.
