Summary\n
This paper concerns a manuscript of a prayer book (National Library of Russia, F. 955 op. 2 No. 51), which was put together in the late 15th century presumably in Lübeck. Its graphematic, phonetic, morphologic and lexical peculiarities let conclude that each part of the book can reveal traits of different dialects. For instance, one of the manuscript blocks at the same time includes Westphalian, Dutch, Lübeck and High German elements. However, it should be admitted that this prayer book was created due to the order of one owner who seems to have understood the content of the whole book in spite of its dialectal differences. It is assumed that dialectal diversity registered in the prayer book represents real conditions of the written usage of Middle Low German, which has little to do with the idea of Lübeck norm.
