Summary\n
The Slavonic translation (Л1товникъ) of the original version of the Chronicle (preserved in Greek in the unique codex Coislinianus 305) displays some interesting peculiarities as the use of the sentences with the conjunction сир1чь (Greek οἷον, τοῦτ’ἔστι or similar). Among the most important and interesting peculiarities one should mention those which introduce original explanations of certain Greek terms or proper names by the Slavonic translator. Such cases contribute to our knowledge both of geographical location of the translation and to the translator’s understanding of the contemporary Greek language. Some deviations from the usual paradigm (Ῥωμαῖοι, Ῥωμαϊκός = грьцы, грьчьскый) also seem interesting for analysis.
