A. V. Podosinov To the problem of sources of Ps.-Arrian’s Periplus Ponti Euxini (pp. 754–766)
Author

Pages\n 754–766
Summary\n
The aim of the paper is to investigate what Anonymus has added to his known sources (Arrian, Menippos, Ps.-Scymnos and Ps.-Scylax) in Periplus Ponti Euxini – the great compilation from the 6th century AD; to determine whether these were his own additions or if he used other sources, unknown to us; and to examine how he worked with his sources. The comparison of the text from paragraph 92 with other preserved texts by Artemidoros leads one to the conclusion that one of the sources for Anonymus in indicating the distances could be Artemidoros.
Keywords\n
