Summary\n
The present article is dedicated to two enigmatic texts on the ribbons from Alaniav cemetery in Moshchevaya Balka (Krasnodar region). They contain acclamations for Byzantine protospatharios, a court dignity. The new reading of the texts proposes the names Vaanes and Basileios (?)/ Their structure corresponds to what we know about Byzantine acclamations.
